i think there is a problem in terms of the brown act and sunshine ordinance to that. in regard to ceqa and the document did cannot include the case number and did not locate where available. not on the web, by the way, the addendum. it's not in a attachment before you. the resolution does not indicate if this board received dir and addendum. i think those are flaws procedurally. i would encourage you to delay this item or deal with these concerns. i would say that this is not just a bike plan project as i understand it. it loses parking spaces. it degrades traffic los and slows down

this summer they started a human rights commission initiated a brown bag series. again, understanding that it's not just about the school district, it's not just about home, but the importance of networking and making connections and having a context. when we start talking to people about the importance of school and education, if we have generations of folks who have maybe not graduated from high school or don't have geds or have had a hard time with getting a job and you say you need to go to school to get a job, and that's not something that they have a context for, it's about creating these internships, but also these mentoring opportunities, brown bag series where people come in and share their stories of how they ended up where they are and what that process looked like. and i think for me the most memorable one was when we did it with mayor brown, and he talked about it was right time, right place. that there was somebody that was there to help him. it wasn't because he had this really great plan did & it was all in alignment. he went to san francisco state

couple of items, just a note related to supervisor mar's last comments, resident of district 11, mike brown has been moving around with a bus registering people to vote in areas where there's very low voter turnout and doing a lot of outreach to people that are ex-felons who are eligible to vote who may not know they're eligible to vote since they passed parole, i think it's important work that's going on in san francisco and i want to commend mike brown for his work in the community. colleagues, you might remember last year, i had a hearing about the america's cup, their workforce development and local business plan, local business inclusion plan, making sure we hit our stride around local businesses taking part in america's cup and benefits from america cup events, as well as hiring local residents in some of the temporary jobs that are created in the america's cup, some of the stages and signs that are going up, i heard from members of the my community and the sign and display union local 510 that perhaps america's cup is not living up to its obligations, i want to have a hearing to look

but with that being said, we can't act like these students over here, the black and brown students are dirty laundry and we're not going to address their needs. we can't act like we're successful over here and amazing to the nation, but we're not going to come up with innovative ways to address what's happening here. so, immediately we do need credit recovery. we need options for these students who are one class plus or more off track to graduate. that includes other options besides online because even with the online options, our young people have said, yeah, we can finish t but i'm not learning anything. and we really don't even have accurate data of what is the completion rate of our young people in credit recovery with the online courses. at least we ask over and over and have not been able to receive that. in addition to that academic support, because we want to prevent it from happening in the first place. and that goes for all grades. we want to make sure that young people are having a successful opportunity while they're in a classroom and not having to take their time instead
